| OVERVIEW |

Explore Moab like a local while sampling some of the best desert climbing venues in the US. Each day is catered to you and your group, but we recommend starting easy with a morning cragging day, separated by a siesta style lunch, then a late afternoon session for day one. The next two days are all about exploration and what better way than to tackle a desert tower. While in town, we’ll show you all the good eateries and cafes and if your’e lucky some of the evening music.

The Best Three Days In Moab combines tower adventures, cragging days, town life, and cultural exploration, in a discounted multi-day package.

Pre-Trip call

Our team extends the offer to schedule a call before your guided tour. They will discuss route options for the day, review gear needs, and share a general time plan for the trip. This is also a great way to ask any questions about the day!

Our Morning

You will meet your guide at the Rangers Cottage at Chautauqua and share a quick morning hello, and the day’s itinerary. The team will make any small adjustments to the climbing kit and then take a stroll to our climb.

An integral part of climbing is familiarity with the area and its history. Our team shares some stories about the area, seeking to educate as we approach the climb.

The Climb

After about 30-45 minutes of hiking, we are at the base of the climb! If it’s your first time on a multi-pitch our guides will start with instructions and reminders on gear and its removal, proper hydration, the rope systems, and belaying a leader. After that, finish with a partner check, and then the team climbs!

End Of Day Debrief

At the cars, we focus our attention on the day; sharing the Rose, the Bud, and the Thorn to ruminate more deeply on the experience. It is often customary (but not mandatory) to have a meal back in the town to celebrate the great days spent in the mountains!

Technical Experience

Guests should have knowledge and ability to lead belay and tie in. You will have the opportunity to climb multi-pitch routes over the three days, so having some traditional following experience is helpful but not required.

Fitness

Moderate physical climbing fitness is recommended. Desert climbing is often steep, requiring good technique and solid upper body strength. The general style of the desert is crack climbing, which to start, feels very physical. You will learn over these three days, trust us, but a healthy dose of humility and non-attachment to grades will make your experience that much better.
