The Easton Glacier is for you! Learn and refine your glacier travel skills on wide and relatively predictable terrain with sweeping views of the North Cascades!

Its accessibility and consistent use by climbers mean excellent route markers, making it ideal for building glacier skills, practicing rope techniques, and enjoying the thrill of summiting one of the Cascades’ most iconic peaks.

Fitness

Excellent physical fitness is required. Climbers must be able to hike and climb for many hours while carrying a pack. Training for Advanced Alpine Climbing is a great fitness program to develop a strong alpine climbing base. 50% intensity of this program is a good marker of fitness to climb on the Easton glacier.
